COVID-19 Update – Cancellation of CHW 10th Annual Celebration Dinner!
It is with much heartache that the Board of Directors met today and in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic – made the decision to cancel the 10th Annual Change Her World Celebration Dinner (April 18, 2020) and the CHW Community event to be held in St Marys (April 26, 2020). Many preparations had been put into place and all was in readiness for the arrival of Esther and Sellah from Malawi and many others from across the country to join with us in this special event. However, despite the chaos all of us are experiencing as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the health and welfare of all our supporters is paramount.
For those of you who purchased tickets for the Dinner, we will provide you with (1) a full refund or (2) you may donate the cost of the ticket to Change Her World and receive an income tax receipt for the full amount paid. If you purchased your ticket through our website, the same options apply. Please contact Carol Hamilton at (519) 271-8701 to indicate how you would like us to proceed with your refund.
Our plan is to gather for a celebration themed event for our 11th Annual Dinner on Saturday April 17, 2021. No annual dinner will be held this year.
None of us know what the next days or weeks hold for us. What we do know is that Change Her World will continue to help many girls and women in Northern Malawi thanks to the support and generosity of all our supporters.
