Charity responds to the symptoms of injustice and is intended to provide immediate help to those in need. Justice seeks to address the root causes of suffering and looks to building long-term solutions that restore the dignity of all people.

Change Her World is committed to educationcharity and justice.

About CHANGE HER WORLD

CHANGE HER WORLD is a Canadian Registered Charity which seeks to promote education opportunities for girls and women in the developing world.

CHANGE HER WORLD hopes to inform Canadians, through education workshops about this global mission and engage these participants in specific projects (ie. fundraising, field trips, advocacy campaigns) allowing them a “hands-on” perspective on this world-wide concern.

Our Mission

CHANGE HER WORLD is committed to removing the barriers, world-wide, that hinder and prevent (1) girls from attending school and being educated, and (2) women from achieving health, wellness and economic stability.

Our Beliefs

At the foundation of CHANGE HER WORLD are the following beliefs:

  1. We believe in upholding the Judeo-Christian ethic in all that we do which includes, to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with our God. (Micah 6:8). We believe that no society can function efficiently or compassionately and no civilization can endure without the these values:

2.   We believe that all children, regardless of gender, race, health status, cultural background, socioeconomic status or religion are entitled to attend school.

Our Project

At present, our primary project is located in northern Malawi in the community of Chilumba

The Project Goal:

Our Progress

In this, our 15th year of operation, the Chilumba project has expanded significantly since its inception in 2010. There have been, as of June 2025, 4 cohorts of nursery school graduates. That is 80 young girls who have a better start in primary school because of their early learning experience – a fact that the research bears out.

At any given time, in primary school there are 60 to 70 beneficiaries and between 80 and 100 girls are enrolled in secondary school. The number of tertiary students varies depending on marks and acceptance levels at post secondary institutions. Currently that number is 13 but we have 28 Form Four (Grade 12) graduates waiting for university placements. More than 55 students have graduated from tertiary programs with degrees in Nursing and Midwifery, Education, Human Resources, Hospitality, Journalism, Law, Medicine, Public Health, Water Management, Pharmacy, Media, Business and Statistics.

In 2023, we officially opened the Chilumba Community Library which was constructed by Change Her World to allow all members of the local community to have access to reading materials, computers and other AV resources.

Change Her World currently supports 40 vulnerable elderly women, has provided goats and pigs to more than 200 enterprising women and has provided clean water via deep wells to 13 villages.

Here are 9 ways that CHANGE HER WORLD is making a difference in Chilumba. Malawi:
