On February 21, 2026, the Canadian Board of Directors received this urgent appeal to provide food for our elementary and secondary beneficiaries as well as our vulnerable women we are supporting.
The Chilumba committee wrote:
Firstly, Malawi is currently experiencing significant hunger, which has severely affected many communities, including Chilumba in Karonga District. After careful discussion, the committee resolved to request the Board’s consideration of food support in this area. We propose that 40 vulnerable women, as well as 45 primary and 87 secondary school students, be assisted with one 25kg bag of maize each.”
Each 25 kg bag of maize costs us $25.00 Canadian Funds.
